However, this thread simply shows, when fans can make it happen, it should be an easy task for CDPR to add it as a feature, maybe with an Expansion or more DLC in the future. I would support gwent online only, if it ever gets officially implemented into the real game by the developers.ĭon't see a future with unofficial player made fan projects. Now we just need to test these changes, I will let you know if they are good or not. We also changed Vesemir, made it bond and added Eskel and Lambert too. If you are interested, I can post the images, they fit pretty well I think. new medic card: Dryad Healer - ranged - value: 5 new spy card: Elven Spy - ranged - value: 3 +1 muster card: Havekar Smuggler (now you have 4 instead of 3) new unit card: Caranthir - ranged - value: 10 (maybe too much ) Northern Realms - new medic card: The Pellar - melee - value:2 We also felt like having no spy card is still a big disadvantage, so after figuring out the changes, yesterday I created custom cards and changed some existing ones.Ģ. They are based on agility, but this ability is far as not as powerful as muster or bond. Somehow the scoia felt very weak, so I started to make some calculations to figure out why. The best was nilfgaard > northern > monster > scoia'tael. The player with those decks has no chance at all.Īfter we made these changes, we started testing the decks and it became already much more balanced like this, but there was still a major difference between the decks.

We always reused the spy cards with the decoy or medic, and against a scoia or a monster deck (they don't have ANY spies) it wasn't fair at all. limited spy cards: you can have max 2 spy cards in your deck! That was the most important, cause after playing some rounds for example with the nilfgaardians, who has 3 spy cards + the hero spy card, we figured out fast that it won't be fun on the original way. limited hero cards: the max amount what you can put in your deck is 5, more would be too powerfulĢ. We already implemented some balance changes in the first version of our gwent:ġ. PS: just to prove it's not a joke, a few screenshots: I would really appreciate any kind of help from the players or anyone from the CD Project Red team. I read the user agreement, but tbh I'm pretty bad in law stuff and it wasn't completely clear for me. we use same card images and sound effects (maybe music) from Witcher 3, BUT we do NOT wish to take any credits for it. the gamplay will be exactly the same (obviously) we make the design ourselves, but it's similar to the original

GWENT ONLINE SAME AS WITCHER 3 FREE
we won't make ANY profit out of it, not even donations, it will be completely free Is it legal to (or are we allowed to) make our game public, if: Obviously, we do NOT want to violate the copyright laws and get into trouble, so here is the question: Well, now comes the dilemma: so far as I said, it was planned just for ourselves, but as I see, a lot of other ppl love Gwent and I was thinking about make it available for everyone. But so far everything works perfect and it seems like we can implement everything we wanted and create the exact same game as in Witcher 3.

^^ At the early progress we planned it just for ourselves, let's say it was more like a hobby project and it wasn't even sure we can make it. then came the idea to create our own Gwent, where we can kick each others butts online in epic card fights.
GWENT ONLINE SAME AS WITCHER 3 SIMULATOR
We were searching for a real Gwent game with real cards, or any planned online game, but except the collector's edition decks and a tabletop simulator we didn't find anything. But there is a huge problem: we cannot play against each other. Me and my friends are big fans of Witcher 3 and I can also say, we are addicted to Gwent.
